After 17 years of living a carefree existence, British pop singer George Michaels will be coming to city near you. Michaels will tour the US and Canada starting at the San Diego Sports Arena on June 17th and ending in Fort Lauderdale at the Bank Atlantic Center on August 3rd.

You will have 22 dates to try and take in the “25 Live” tour in concert. Tickets go on sale on April 6th with Ticketmaster.

George’s rise to fame happened in the early 80’s when he was half of the group Wham. In 1987 he branched out and went on his own and ended up with a hit album “Faith.” Michaels had a good run until around 1990 when he tried to sue Sony in efforts to get out of his contract. The legal battle did not go in George’s favor.

You won’t have to wait long to hear Michael’s latest hits, the double CD is set to hit the store shelves on April 1st.

Hopefully, George will be sure to stay clear of all park bathrooms on his tour. 1998 was not such a great year when some “lewd” behavior in the bathroom at a park landed Michaels in the slammer and his sexuality was revealed. That part is the joke to me – didn’t we all already know his sexual orientation?
