Josh Radnor and Britney Spears
Britney Spears arrived on the L.A. lot of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother at 7:30am on Wednesday for her first day of the shoot.
Cast member Josh Radnor, who plays one of the main characters, Ted, said that Britney has been great to work with, and joked that she “knew her lines better than I knew mine.”
Spears is also raving about the experience, saying, “Working at How I Met Your Mother has been so terrific,” adding, “Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I’m having a blast!”
According to a source, Britney was accompanied on set by her assistant, Brett, and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, who kept thanking everyone, telling them this is just what their daughter needed.
So will this be a continuing role for Spears? According to the source, “She had a lot of fun doing it and she even mentioned extending her character. Who knows? She got along really well with everyone.”
Alicia Silverstone was also set to make an appearance, but bowed out after learning Britney would be doing the show.
The shoot is expected to continue Thursday afternoon after a scheduled visit with her sons.
Britney’s guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother is scheduled to air on March 24.
