Please would everybody do Amy Winehouse and the rest of the world a favor and quit making excuses for her over-the-top behavior. Amy’s recent 12 hour stay at the safe house hospital is just one more story her peeps are trying to spin into a fairy tale.
This is what her manager had to say about her health troubles:
“She was taking a new medication as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one. “
Really….they should have mention to her that heroin doesn’t mix well with the ‘medication’.
Oh, and her rep assures us that she will be taking it easy now that she is almost done with her summer festivals – you know, just laying around writing music and relaxing.
Here is what I would have liked the quote to say:
“We are sorry to report that we have thrown our hands up and will not be making any more ridiculous excuses for Amy. Due to her out of control dependency on every drug that she can get her hands on, we are unable to cover up her slow suicide. Please keep Amy in your thoughts.”
Because that is what it is! She is killing herself in front of the world. Here is my plea to all of her fans and groupies: stop hanging out on her door step waiting to get your picture taken with the screwed up singer. Family and manager – stop the excuses and admit that it is what it is. She hit rock bottom a loooong time ago and can’t seem to find her way up. Producer’s and concert goers – stop booking her and stop cheering for her.

Madame Tussauds unveiled the new Amy Winehouse exhibit at their London wax museum last week. Mitch Winehouse and his wife Janis look like they are totally in love with wax Amy – so healthy and prosperous looking. Sad that they have to settle for those attributes only while embracing a wax mannequin.
