Kate Hudson, newly unencumbered since severing ties with Lance Armstrong, did a photo shoot and interview with W magazine for their September 2008 issue. She graces the cover in a photo that is anything but the Kate we’re used to seeing.
The subtitle on the cover insinuates – ‘And you thought she was just the girl next door.’ The look is edgy with the use of lighting and heavy eye makeup.
Kate keeps her personal life pretty close to the vest but is more than happy to discuss her ex Chris Robinson. Says the actress:
“I can talk about Chris until the dogs come home. I married Chris. I had a baby with Chris. Chris will be in my life for the rest of my life.”
Robinson, a musician with The Black Crowes, married Hudson in 2000. The couple split after six years and share joint custody of their four year old son Ryder Russell Robinson.
