Ugly Bat Boy, a cat in New Hampshire, is quite possibly the ugliest cat in the world.
Ugly Bat Boy, (yes, that’s his name), lives at Exeter Veterinary Hospital, and his owner, Stephen Bassett, says the eight-year-old cat is perfectly normal – he’s just ugly.
Bald, except for a shaggy mane on his chest, Ugly has become quite the local celebrity, with people coming in to snap photos on their cell phones.
Staff at the veterinary hospital say the cat makes up for his looks by having inner beauty and a nice disposition.
“The impression from clients that come in is he’s not real because he just sits so still, and when he does move, he scares them, but they think he’s mesmerizing,” staff member Christie Hartnett said.
Dr. Bassett says Ugly loves the attention he gets and is very friendly.
