It was a star-studded group of celebrities who graced the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE venue last night. They were on hand to take in the two-hour American Idol Season 8 finale on Wednesday night, May 20, 2009.
In a real SHOCKER, it was the 23 year old college student Kris Allen who was victorious over ‘judges favorite’ Adam Lambert. They can be seen flanking a particularly vivacious Paula Abdul in the photo above.
Special guests included Black Eyed Peas, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Ruben Studdard, KISS, Heather Locklear, Joely Fisher, Terri Seymour, Janice Dickinson, David Archuleta and Jennette McCurdy.
Judges Kara DioGuardi and Abdul kept things interesting by making several wardrobe changes. The most amazing transformation was when Kara belted out Vision of Love on stage with Katrina Darrell, aka Bikini Girl, and then revealed her own little black string bikini – video and photos here.
