Jon Gosselin hasn’t had much to say about his marital problems, but did sit down with People magazine this week to finally weigh in on the matter. Kate Gosselin spoke out in a May issue, and appears to have no difficulty verbalizing her feelings on the subject.

Jon appeared to struggle mightily during the season five premiere episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. His mantra was “I love my kids and I do everything for my kids.” Kate, on the other hand, had lots to say and claimed repeatedly, while dabbing at her eyes with a tissue so as not to ruin her makeup, “I can’t speak for anyone but myself”.

We are told in the People ‘teaser’, that Jon visited the office of his Manhattan lawyer. Could a legal separation be in the works? It seems likely. Both are rumored to be having extra-marital affairs, she with bodyguard Steve Neild, he with school teacher Deanna Hummel.

To add to their woes, Pennsylvania legal authorities have been investigating whether child labor laws have been violated. Jon calls the allegations that the reality show is exploiting his eight children “ridiculous”. Kate’s brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Kreider and Jodi Kreider provided some candid remarks that may have launched the investigation.

TLC has sent mixed messages about the current state of the Gosselin living arrangement. They would have us believe that the couple are simply taking turns traveling, and are therefore not in the same place at the same time. Jon missed Kate’s birthday because he was skiing in Utah. Kate made it sound like it was not intentional, but merely a scheduling error, fooling absolutely no one.

The latest word is that Jon lives with the children when Kate is out of town, and moves out the moment she returns, back to an apartment above their three car garage.
