“Kung Fu” and “Kill Bill” star David Carradine was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok Wednesday.
There are conflicting reports as to the nature of the actor’s death, with one Asian newspaper saying he committed suicide, claiming he was found hanged in a closet in suite 352 of the Park Nai Lert Hotel by a maid.
According to Carradine’s manager Chuck Binder, the 72-year-old actor was staying in Bangkok while shooting a film. He was found dead by a producer when he didn’t show up for dinner with the film crew and they were unable to reach him. He said Carradine’s death is “under investigation.”
Binder said the actor had been in great spirits, and he believed Carradine died of natural causes.
Carradine appeared in over 200 motion pictures and television dramas, and numerous plays. He was also a producer, director, writer, and composer for the screen as well.
