It’s still hard to believe that Michael Jackson is dead. People all over the world struggle to find ways to keep the memory of ‘The King of Pop’ alive. With the one year anniversary of his death approaching, for those who love him most, a celebration is in order. Good news, there will be a Michael Jackson tribute this summer. MJ’s brother Jermaine Jackson has booked London’s Wembley Arena on June 8, for what he is calling Tribute By Jermaine.
Although no actual performers have been announced yet, the tribute is promised to be a star-studded event. The tribute will be filmed and is expected to be released on DVD. Jermaine’s goal is to create the largest tribute of all time, something he feels very fitting for his brother. Michael’s dedicated fans would probably agree.
Michael Jackson has been honored numerous times since his death, with the Grammys, BET, MTV, and Academy Award shows all paying tribute to the late singer. It is clear that it is hard for the world to let go of such a legendary man. While many appreciate Jermaine’s initiative to keep his brother’s memory alive, others wonder if he is solely after the money.
