Fans of the underground Hip-Hop group Atmosphere were in a panic when rumors began circulating that Slug, a member of the group, had died of an overdose. It all began when the Wikipedia listing for the rapper changed and began referring to Sean Daley in the past tense.

Wiki said: “Slug attended Washburn High School and was raised in South Minneapolis. On April 20, 2010 Slug died from an overdose of cocaine and sleeping pills. Minneapolis police are still investigating and planning an autopsy.”

Fans of the group inundated the group’s Facebook page with RIP messages and concerns. Wikipedia has since been changed and the group took to their Facebook page to notify fans of the deception. Their current status states, “Also for the record, Slug is alive and well.”

If the rumor had turned out to be true it would have been a very emotional week for Hip-Hop and the music industry who recently said goodbye to one of their own. Rapper Guru passed away this week after a long battle with cancer.
