The Indianapolis 500 race day events kicked off at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010, when the garage opened to participants. An hour later there was a military bomb that signaled the opening of the track to the public.
The equipment and supplies were brought into the pits at 7:00 a.m., and the Spectacle of Bands followed at 8:00 a.m.
