This morning Dina Lohan sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show to discuss her daughter Lindsay Lohan. The troubled star has been in jail twice and gone to rehab a total of four times, although Dina tried to claim it was only twice until Lauer provided the specifics.

Watching Dina it was easy to see where Lindsay’s denial comes from. She claims the judge played “hardball” and that her daughter didn’t deserve to go to jail for the 2007 driving offense. Dina claims that Judge Marsha Revel was about to be fired when she stepped down a few days ago.

Lauer pressed her about her daughter’s problems. Dina responded: “That’s all propaganda, pre-orchestrated. You’re reading things that are not based on fact.”

Matt suggested that Lindsay’s family has not stood by the actress or gotten her the help she needed. Dina was appalled: “I had to let her go, surviving without failure – there is no success. She was 19 when she moved to L.A. and it was time for her to do it on her own.”

Dina pointed out that she has four children and has to care for them all. “I raised my children to be normal.” She was quite emphatic that she is not going to stop any of her kids from doing what they want, “They push me, I don’t push them.”

Lohan, who is obviously as delusional as her troubled daughter, claims that Lindsay doesn’t realize that she has people following her and that she needs to be aware of what she does in public. She said, “Her life is magnified. Her life is under a microscope … Lindsay doesn’t realize a lot of people are watching her.”

With a new judge on the case, Dina insinuated that more revelations are forthcoming but she isn’t allowed to speak about it at this time.

The most recent rumors indicate that Lilo will be sprung shortly from rehab because the judge who sentenced her was discovered to have had several inappropriate, behind-the-scenes telephone conversations with rehab facilities. The L.A. District Attorney brought the allegations to light, causing Revel to remove herself from the case.

After her UCLA rehab stint, Dina said her daughter will be coming home to New York to continue her acting and modeling career.
