Amazing! Katy Perry is the first artist to achieve five No. 1 hits from the same album on the Billboard Pop Songs chart in its 19-year history.

Her latest song Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F), from the album Teenage Dream, has put her over the top and gained her some serious bragging rights.

The Billboard feat is based on radio airplay. Her single Friday set the mark for most weekly plays in the chart’s history. She actually beat out her own record, set with the single E.T. back in May.

If Last Friday Night hits the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, she will be tied with Michael Jackson on that list. He achieved five No. 1 hits in 1987 from his Bad album.

Stay tuned … the next refresh of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 will be Thursday, August 4. Will she do it?
