Twilight star Ashley Greene‘s dog died after a fire destroyed her condo in a historic West Hollywood landmark.
Firefighters were called to her third story Granville Towers condominium Friday morning around 9:50am.
The 26-year-old actress, an unidentified boyfriend (possibly Ryan Phillippe, who was seen leaving an L.A. hotspot with Greene Wednesday night?), and her brother were sleeping when the fire broke out. They ran out of the apartment and escaped the fire, which reportedly started on a sofa in the living room. They then realized the dogs were still inside and the two men unsuccessfully tried to get back in to rescue them.
One of Greene’s two dogs died at the scene in a hiding spot under the actress’s bed, while the other suffered injuries and was taken to a vet for treatment. Three people were also treated for smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
Granville Towers was built in 1929 and had been home to several celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Rourke, David Bowie and Rock Hudson.
