Kirstie Alley appears to be targeting her former Church of Scientology pal Leah Remini in a series of thinly-veiled tweets of the decidedly snarky variety.
The first salvo came directly on the heels of a statement by Remini, confirming media reports that she has broken ranks with Scientology after five years of “interrogations” and “thought modification.”
Over the past few days Kirstie has added more fuel to the fire with these Twitter zingers:
Underground Bunker blogger Tony Ortega claims Kirstie Alley was “livid” at Leah Remini for creating yet another public relations nightmare for the Church of Scientology.
He claims the actress began feverishly working the phones when the story broke, demanding that Scientology’s Hollywood Celebrity Center arrange a meeting so that she and her pals could be briefed on Leah Remini’s church defection.
The meeting took place at the home of Melinda Brownstone – known on Twitter as @minmin1008. By no small coincidence – she happens to be the godmother to Remini’s daughter, Sofia.
Kirstie tweeted during the strategy gathering, “The sweetest poison is often served with a smile … beware syrup. I am at my friends gorgeous home @minmin1008 love hangin here.”
