Ten-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee has been cast as Little Red Riding Hood in the big-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical ‘Into the Woods.’
In the film a witch conspires to teach important lessons to various characters of popular children’s stories.
Sophia Grace will co-star with an impressive ensemble cast including Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Christine Baranski and Chris Pine in the live-action Walt Disney Pictures fairytale.
Proud uncle, Lucas Brownlee tweeted, “It’s official, @Princess SGB has landed the part of little red riding hood.”
The British school girl and her cousin Rosie McClelland were discovered by Ellen DeGeneres in 2011 after their YouTube video covering the Nicki Minaj hit ‘Super Bass’ went viral.
Thanks to the talk show host, they have attended the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards.
