Cher threw a profanity-laced Twitter fit after learning that her never-to-be-heard duet with Lady Gaga has been leaked on the Internet.

‘The Greatest Thing’ was written last year by Lady Gaga and producer Nadir Khayat, professionally known as RedOne. They offered it to Cher, who recorded it and seriously loved the track.

At the urging of RedOne, Gaga added vocals while on tour in Madrid. Sadly for Cher, the collaboration wasn’t up to Lady G’s standards and she nixed the 67-year-old icon’s plan to put it on her album ‘Closer To the Truth,’ set to drop on Sept. 24.

Cher told fans in June, “It’s done and she doesn’t like it, or want it to come out. She’s an artist, it’s up to her. I’m disappointed 2.”

Now it has surfaced on the day after Gaga’s single ‘Applause’ also leaked. Coincidence — maybe yes, maybe no.

That said, several hours ago Cher blew a gasket with a series of tweets:

The question remains … is she secretly pleased that her song will now be heard by her fans? Count on it.

Check out the tune and let us know what you think. We’re with Cher — we like it!
