An unidentified man was found dead of a gun shot wound at the Juniper, Florida residence of actress Olivia Newton-John and her husband John Easterling.

Police Sergeant Scott Pascarella confirmed the death on Monday, indicating that the victim was a 42-year-old contractor who was employed by the home owners and had permission to be there while renovations were taking place.

The death appears to be a suicide but Jupiter Inlet Colony police are conducting a death investigation. It remains unclear whether foul play is suspected.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the 7,429 square-foot home is being readied to be sold. They are reporting that Rosie O’Donnell is under contract to purchase the home for $5.6 million after renovations are completed.

Rosie and her wife Michelle Rounds first scoped out the home as a potential place for her mother but fell in love with it. An all cash offer is currently on the table.

Olivia’s husband acknowledged the pending sale last week, “Nothing’s done until it’s signed, sealed and delivered.”

Olivia and her husband were not in the residence at the time of the shooting, though other construction workers were on the property when a gun shot rang out.

The neighborhood is also home to Tiger Woods and Kid Rock.
