Catch up, people! Okay, like, Tyra Banks is 30 and can afford to be choosy about her runway shows because she’s getting regular income from Victoria’s Secret, along with her upcoming magazine, talk show and current UPN break-out success, America’s Next Top Model. But there are plenty of detractors, both from behind the camera and inside the industry – and seriously, like ohmigosh, that’s all we give a shit about.

Former supermodel and author of Everything About Me Is Fake … And I’m Perfect, on-camera judge Janice Dickinson is playing the Simon Cowell role, ranking on the show itself, and even Tyra: “”I think the girls have been average so far,” she says, adding that working with Ms. Banks has been “arduous.” Calling herself the show’s true star, she continues: “I don’t agree with the concepts or the choices, nothing is really impressing me. It’s really quite painful.”

Meanwhile, Teen Vogue editor Amy Astley is quietly laughing at Tyra’s expense: “I think most professionals would look at these girls and say they’re pretty, but not only do they not have what it takes to be a top model, they don’t have what it takes to be a working model.” Astley adds, “It’s a good reality soap opera and it’s impressive that Tyra’s leveraging her fame and expertise, but I think it’s doing a bit of disservice to the modeling and fashion industry.” Which, of course, Teen Vogue is taking no part in.
