Yesterday, it was reported that Britney Spears’ upcoming single “Womanizer” is being delayed, having been sent back for remixing and remastering.

Zomba Label Group/Jive Records spokesperson Wendy Washington confirmed on Monday that the single’s release has been pushed back by a week.

“Yes, the mix is being finalized and is expected to be done within a week,” she said of the first single from Britney’s new album, Circus.

Meanwhile, an intern at Nashville’s 107.5 The River radio station who leaked a clip of “Womanizer” last week has apparently been fired.

“Don’t expect any posts from [Intern Adam Davis],” the station’s site says.

“He is not here. We are sorry to inform you he is not on the air with Woody & Jim In The Morning. No details will be given at this time, however we are sure you can fish around the internet gossip blogs to figure stuff out.”
