Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have updated their fans with photos from El Salvador, where they embarked on a mission trip a month ago.

It sounds like the couple and their four-month-old son, Israel David, seem to be doing just fine in their Central American surroundings.

The Arkansas natives and parents are working with fellow missionaries on projects including building a basketball court and other facilities.

Locals love #BabyDilly too, apparently. Derick blogged about how the couple’s first child has become a fast favorite in their new town.

"Israel seems to be adjusting to the new climate, culture, food (via mom’s milk), and language faster than Jill and I are," he wrote in a blog post.

"In fact, he has been the talk of the town. Everywhere we go, people [hear] about and want to see and hold the ‘big blue-eyed, white baby’ LOL."

Since recently departing the U.S. for their new family business venture, Dillard Family Ministries, Jill and Der have come under scrutiny.

Coming up short on details is unusual for the notorious over-sharers, but that’s precisely what they’ve been doing ever since the trip was announced.

At least they seem happy though, and we’re pleased to hear that their little guy has been hanging in there despite the change of scenery.

Open the gallery above for photos of the happy, loving pair on their mission funded by irate fans who still have no idea what they’re doing.
