In the aftermath of the George Zimmerman verdict that resonated across the U.S., Beyonce honored Trayvon Martin at the Mrs. Carter Show in Nashville.
The 31-year-old singer offered a moment of silence for the slain Florida teen, whose death continues to sadden so many around the nation and world.
She also covered Whitney Houston’s legendary "I Will Always Love You."
Martin has become a cause celebre among A-listers since his death 17 months ago, as evidenced by the mostly irate celebrity Twitter reactions to the verdict.
Beyonce did not criticize the jury specifically, however.
By choosing to tenderly and simply honor the teen and his family, she left the legal and political issues this case has raised to be debated another day.
