Now that Southern Charm is in its post-Kathryn Dennis era, many fans hoped that her life will calm down.
Unfortunately, that has not happened.
Earlier this year, Bravo cut ties with her. She also lost custody of her kids to a disgraced criminal.
Now, Kathryn was allegedly the hit-and-run driver of an accident that injured a police deputy. And if it wasn’t her, then we have even more questions.
The Ashley reports that a vehicle with a registration under Kathryn Dennis’ name participated in a hit-and-run accident.
This incident took place on Friday, right before the start of the weekend.
And the victim was a deputy officer who was working as a school resource officer — right in front of a school.
Apparently, the deputy in question was directing traffic in front of Whitesville Elementary School.
This school is in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
This is when an SUV straight up plowed into him. And then kept on driving like a bat out of hell.
South Carolina’s local news station Live 5 WCSC received a direct report from Trooper Nick Pye.
“A 2022 Ford utility vehicle was traveling south on Gaillard Road when the driver struck the resource officer in front of Whitesville Elementary School around 7:30 a.m.,” Pye began.
The trooper added: “The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop at the scene of the crash.” Yikes!
Now, the good news is that the resource officer was hospitalized and apparently only sustained minor injuries.
Considering that he was directing traffic when a whole-ass SUV struck him, we have to assume that the vehicle clipped him.
That’s no laughing matter. Whoever did that could easily have killed him with even a slightly different angle. And they didn’t stop — making this a hit-and-run.
Authorities later located the SUV at the home of its registered owner. It appears that this is Kathryn Dennis (either that, or there’s a second Kathryn Dennis who lives in Moncks Corner, where Kathryn has been staying with her dad).
Now, police haven’t confirmed that. It doesn’t sound like anyone has pressed charges just yet.
It’s theoretically possible that someone else was driving. But it seems unlikely that a car thief stole the car and drove off … considering that police tracked it to Kathryn’s home. What joyrider returns the vehicle after mowing someone down?
None of this is looking good for Kathryn. And if she was under the influence, things could get even worse for her.
Unlike her ex, Thomas Ravenel, Kathryn could end up facing real consequences for committing a crime that harms someone.
If she did it. And if authorities can prove it in a court of law. Those are a couple of big “Ifs.”
