It’s only been four days since the world learned that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have broken up.
But of course, social media and tabloids have already offered up just about every take imaginable on the situation.
And as is so often the case, the very hottest take is from none other than Kanye West.
From the moment that news of Kim and Pete’s relationship went public, Kanye committed himself to trying to break them up.
The quest seemed to become a sort of obsession for West, who was suddenly obsessed with winning back his ex.
This led him to launch a harassment campaign against Pete, culminating in a bizarre music video in which Kanye beheaded an animated likeness of Davidson.
When news of the split went public, West celebrated on Instagram by posting a fake newspaper headline announcing Davidson’s death.
All of this has reportedly taken a tremendous toll on the former SNL star, and insiders say Davidson has checked into trauma therapy as a result of the continued harassment from West.
Now, sources are claiming that Kim is also deeply angry over Kanye’s behavior, but her pleas for her ex to relent have fallen on deaf ears.
“Kim is upset,” a source close to the situation exclusively told E! News this week.
“Not only is she sad from the breakup, but this on top of it has tested her mentally.”
The insider added that Kim is “not okay with this type of behavior and won’t tolerate her loved ones being treated like this.”
Kanye has been very open about his desire to win his ex back, but as usual, his latest actions demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of Kim’s values and priorities.
The insider noted that despite the split, Kim and Pete still have “a lot of love and respect for each other,”
“She has asked numerous times for him to take down the post,” the source shared with E! News.
“She will always protect Pete.”
Yes, Kim and Pete may not have dated for very long, but insiders say the two became very close during the nine months they were together.
Only time will tell if the friendship phase of their relationship will be more successful than their romance, but for now at least, the bond between Davidson and Kardashian remains strong.
So if Yeezy thinks he’s gonna impress his ex by trashing her latest partner, he clearly has another thing coming.
The good news is that Kanye has deleted the post about Pete’s death, possibly at Kim’s behest.
The bad news is, this probably won’t be the last of Ye’s social media attacks against Davidson.
