A few weeks ago on Sister Wives, Janelle Brown stopped mincing words.
She refused to beat around the bush.
And she took many viewers by surprise in the process when she said the following on a Season 16 episode:
"I’ve caught myself in the last few weeks really reflecting and being like, ‘Okay, look: do I still choose plural marriage?’"
To clarify, Janelle added at the time:
"Yeah, I still choose it, but I’ve had to have that conscious decision with myself."
This scene was filmed way back in late 2020, but a new report in Us Weekly alleges that not a lot has changed for the long-time spiritual spouse.
Absolutely nothing has changed in the positive sense, a source says. That’s for sure.

“Janelle meant it when [she] said she would leave Kody,” an insider supposedly told the aforementioned tabloid late last week. “It’s going to happen.”
Tension between Janelle and Kody Brown has been at an extreme throughout Sister Wives Season 16.
The former has been unhappy with the dictorial nature of the latter amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as Kody put in place very strict rules and regulations for his family to follow just over a year ago.
And if they didn’t follow these rules and regulations?
They simply wouldn’t be able to spend time with Kody.
At one point, Janelle even cursed Kody off after he ignored her demands and/or concerns over this topic.
“I’ve had to really think. My children are almost grown and there’s not a huge necessity anymore to stay. It was a wonderful way to raise children,” Janellle told the cameras on the January 16 episode of Sister Wives.
“With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained. And you know, it’s easy to walk away.”
Kody exchanged vows with Janelle in 1993.
Not in the legal sense, however.
Yes, Kody was with Meri, Christine and Janelle for many decades.
Because polygamy is illegal in the United States, though, Kody and Robyn’s marriage is the only one recognized by law.
In early November, Christine announced she was walking away after more than 25 years as a polygamous spouse — and she has since made it clear she has no regrets at all about this decision.
Janelle, apparently, has taken note of all Christine has said and done of late.
“She sees how happy Christine is now that she’s ‘free’ from Kody and is strongly considering separating from him too,” Us Weekly added in its report.
“Christine and Janelle are very close and they have conversations about it.”
This much is true.
Both Janelle and Christine promote the same weight loss supplement via social media, as you can see in the photo above. They spent this past New Year’s Eve together, too.
“[Janelle’s] really close to Christine, so she’s in constant communication with her," emphasizes a second magazine source.
"[Kody’s] trembling and worried that Meri or Janelle are going to leave him.”

Is he really, though?
Kody didn’t seem particularly bothered when Christine confirmed to the public that she was moving back to Utah.
"Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness," he said about 10 weeks ago.
"We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.”
We’ve heard, meanwhile, that Sister Wives is coming back for Season 17.
Does this mean the report cited here is nonsense and Janelle will be sticking around.
Not necessarily.
Upcoming episodes may have been filmed ages ago; or perhaps a new season will focus on a new arrangement for Kody, one in which his relationships hhave crumbled and he’s forced to pick up the pieces.
We’ll soon find out.
