Fans were shocked earlier this month when they learned that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are over.
While rumors about Travis' alleged side piece continue to swirl around the mysterious and quiet split, Kylie is sending out a message.
In a post about happiness, she appears to be throwing some shade in Travis' general direction. Take a look:
On Sunday evening, Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Stories to share a quote with fans.
"Happiness is a choice, not a result," the quote begins.
The message continues: "Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy."
"No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy," the quote reads.
The message concludes: "Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you."
Kylie does not cite the quote's author, but the quote is attributed to Australian biochemist Ralph Marston.
While some of us who are perpetually content, people who experience negative emotions or depression may disagree.
Not all "helpful" quotes help everyone, after all.
But more interesting than Kylie's use of a quote that some may find insulting is the timing of it all.
The makeup mogul has just broken up with her baby daddy, Travis Scott, after a year and a half together.
Is she sending her fans a message about her own happiness?
Kylie may be telling fans that she has no problem being happy without Travis, because she controls her own joy.
Or, she may be telling fans that she is using this affirmation to combat feelings of discontent now that she is a single mom.
She may simply be sharing these words of wisdom with fans as advice to them, unrelated to her own life.
Or, of course, Kylie might be telling the world and Travis Scott that she's happy without him and doesn't need him.
It's hard to say, of course, and we're always a little leery of reading too deeply into such a vague post.
Obviosuly, news that Kylie and Travis had split had people buzzing about the possible causes.
Did Travis cheat? Did Kylie cheat? Everybody was hunting for drama.
The truth of the matter, reports say, is that it was nothing so theatrical or interesting.
They just fell out of love once their lives calmed down and they settled into a routine. The honeymoon period can't last forever.
We can't say that we're surprised. Getting pregnant at 19 after a few weeks of boning a guy doesn't mean that he's your soul mate.
Kylie and Travis' boning may not have resulted in a romantic happily ever after, but it produced one very positive result.
Stormi herself is too cute for words. And four months from now, on February 1 of 2020, this little cutie will turn two years old.
She is already a toddler.
And, as Kylie recently shared (and we turned into a gif for your amusement), little Stormi is already interested in the family business.
As you can see, she has slathered her own face with makeup and is giving her famous mother the same treatment. Adorable.
