Kailyn Lowry is here for her friend and podcast co-host Lindsie Chrisley after her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were arrested on charges of tax evasion and bank fraud.
We're sure you've seen the headlines, but if not, well...the Chrisley fam (and yes, their hilarious reality show) is pretty much canceled.
The Teen Mom 2 star took to Twitter to share a statement to the media after receiving multiple questions regarding the family's current financial scandal.
But Kail, who is often seen in public with the former Chrisley Knows Best star, is not here for the #drama, she is just trying to support Lindsie "privately" after her parents turned themselves in, pleading not guilty to the charges.
And now, the once-adored couple could be facing up to thirty years in prison.
"I've been contacted by various media outlets regarding the case against the Chrisley Family," wrote Lowry.
"Lindsie is my one and only concern in the unfortunate situation, and I am supporting her privately as she navigates through this difficult time," adding a fingers crossed emoji and a heart.
Fans quickly responded to Lowry's post, offering their support as well as questioning why the heck the press would bother to ask the Teen Mom member questions on the issue anyway.
"Too bad you even have to say anything. People should not bother you," one user wrote.
Adding, "I am sorry people badger you with things. I really am."
A second fan commented, "No one should even bother you with this, it's their issue and Lindsie and Chase have nothing to do with it."
"She doesn't even talk to her family," added another.
While Lowry didn't care to comment on the beloved family's actions (probably because she doesn't actually know anything), Lindsie has reacted and no, she wasn't surprised at all.
The eldest Chrisley daughter left the Chrisley Knows Best show in 2017 and according to her rep, she is completely estranged from her parents and has cut off all ties.
"Lindsie would like to thank all of her supporters. The circumstances Todd and Julie find themselves in is quite unfortunate," Lindsie's spokesman Musa Ghanayem said, adding that Lindsie has no part in the investigation.
It was initially reported that it was Lindsie who was the source of the information that led to her father's arrest.
However, we quickly learned that wasn't the case.
But after some very disturbing news dropped today, we now understand exactly why Lindsie chose to remove herself from her family.
"Lindsie has been a constant target of lies, harassment and threats from her family and as a result, has been distancing herself from the Chrisley family since 2017," said her rep.
And what might those lies and threats be, you ask?
Well, apparently the harassment and this threat are centered around Todd's reported involvement in the tax evasion, and wait for it...
Last month, the estranged daughter filed a police report in Georgia alleging that her brother, Chase, and her dad were trying to extort her over a sex tape that she made -- and that Chase supposedly purchased.
Lindsie claims that Todd and her brother threatened to release the footage unless she agreed to lie about their "incident."
We have a feeling this is going to be a very telling and hefty court case.
"Lindsie is currently processing the events that have unfolded," concluded her lawyer's statement.
"We will continue to cooperate with the law enforcement and pray for a just resolution. We will have more to say when the opportunity presents itself."
Her famous sister, Savannah, is leaning on God in this time, as are her parents.
"You know we stand in our faith and we stand for what we know is right," Todd said to reporters outside the courthouse yesterday.
"You know our family will stick together, walk this rope because we know God will take our hand and take us through."
And hopefully, God makes everything turn out just fine so they can all get on back to their mansions in peace.
