Pets, family, the laughter of children, sandwiches whose names aren't preceded by "Mc" -- these are just a few items on the long list of things that are enjoyed by most people but only serve to deepen President Trump's signature scowl.
In fact, as much as he loves Twitter Donald has only "liked" eight tweets in the history of his time on the site.
So you can imagine our surprise when his latest fav concerned minorities, women, and music -- three things that normally leave the president quaking with impotent fury.
It all started when journalist Heben Nigatu tweeted a portion of her latest interview with Rihanna, commenting:
“Every new Rihanna interview makes me grow stronger. We stan a work/life balance queen!!!”
It's the kind of enthusiastic that RiRi has been eliciting for years.
But what set Nigatu's tweet apart is that 45 loved it so much he couldn't help but that heart button.
Is this Trump's way of revealing that he's a fan of Rihanna's music?
Is he trying to negate his recent remarks about Meghan Markle by indicating that it's possible for women of color to gain his approval without appearing on The Apprentice ?
Perhaps this is Donnie's way of identifying himself as the rude boy, boy immortalized in Queen Rih's lyrics.
Whatever the case, Nigatu was just as confused as the rest of us.
“WHAT IS HAPPENING,” she tweeted upon realizing that she had joined Judge Jeannine Pirro on the short list of female media figures to earn Trump's affection.
Needless to say, the response on Twitter was one of stunned perplexity:
“Donald Trump read this Rihanna quote advising people to ‘make time for yourself’ and ‘shut things down for two days, three days at a time’ to ‘nurture’ yourself, and saw it as validation for watching Fox News all day every day,” tweeted Bobby Lewis.
“If Trump could actually get Rihanna to release new music, I might consider voting for him (ok…no),” wrote Emily Colucci.
“If the media doesn’t ask Trump about liking that Rihanna tweet they should turn in their press badges,” Eric Demamp remarked.
In all likelihood, our sundowning president liked Nigatu's tweet by accident.
But if we all try to convince him it was a teaser for his announcement about cannabis legalization at the federal level, he might actually believe us and proceed with phase two of the plan!
