Bachelor Nation has officially been expanded.
Are you ready to meet its latest and tiniest new member?
On Wednesday night, former Bachelor lead Arie Luyendyk Jr. announced to the world that his chosen suitor and relatively new wife, Lauren Burnham, has given birth to the couple’s first-ever child.
"We have a healthy, BEAUTIFUL baby girl," the polarizing reality star wrote to his Instagram Story after a long night spent at the hospital, which he and Lauren documented on social media.
"Mommy and baby are doing great, we are so incredibly happy," he added"
However, while Arie confirmed that the bundle of joy checked in at 6 Ibs, 13 oz. and measured 20 centimeters in length, Arie failed to provide the baby’s name or any photos.
Until now, that is!
“This was first time she laid eyes on me and I’m forever changed,”the 37-year old captioned the above father-daughter shot via Instagram on Thursday, May 30.
He also revealed his daughter’s name, Alessi Ren Luyendyk.
“Congrats buddy!” Sean Lowe, who also found love on the ABC series, wrote in the comments section of this photograph.
Chris Harrison also had to chime in of course.
“God bless you all my friend,” he wrote underneath Luyendyk’s post before writing a longer comment on Burnham’s image, which we’ve shared below:
“Sending you all my love…and now diapers."
Arie chose Lauren to be his future wife after a controversial After the Rose special last year in which he dumped Becca Kufrin on national television and went back to Burnham afterward.
The pair then announced their engagement in November and their pregnancy in January of this year.
It didn’t sound as if the latter was planned, but Arie and Lauren rushed to the altar and got married just weeks after telling the world she was expecting.
Everything seems to have worked out for the stars, though, huh?
Just look at what their love has created:
"She is sweet, calm and @ariejr, and I could not be more in love with her," Lauren wrote on Instagram alongside another adorable snapshot.
Upon exchanging vows, Arie said the following to Us Weekly:
“Ever since we’ve gotten together, we wanted to fast-forward to this day,” the groom told the tabloid at the time, adding:
“It’s been a year.
"That’s kind of crazy ‘cause I remember a year ago we were doing ‘happy couples [weekend on The Bachelor]’ and talking about getting married and wanting to do that, even last year, so it’s awesome that the day is finally here.”
Congrats to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham!
