According to an ongoing analysis of Tristan Thompson's 2018-2019 NBA season, the immoral baller didn't merely ruin his relationship with Khloe Kardashian by kissing Jordyn Woods on the lips...
... he may also have ruined his career.
By now, you must be familiar with the scandal, right?
After sleeping with other women while Khloe was pregnant with his child, Thompson somehow managed to convince his baby mama to give him another chance.
After a few months of apparent romantic bliss, Tristan simply couldn't help himself, inviting Woods back to his house several weeks ago and planting a smooch on Kylie Jenner's closest friend.
Almost immediately afterward, Khloe finally kicked Tristan to the curb.
She's made it very clear that she's done with Thompson once and for all.
The question now, however, is this: Are the Cleveland Cavaliers ready to say the same thing?
After getting off to a promising start to the season, Thompson's play has tailed off of late.
And a source tells In Touch Weekly that it's hard not to connect Tristan's disappointing second half to his affair with Woods.
“Ever since the whole disaster with Jordyn Woods, Tristan’s been a mess," an insider tells this tabloid, adding:
"His game time is way down because coaches don’t want to deal with his off-court drama at the moment. Plus, he seems distracted by it all."
It's true that the Cavs have been terrible this year. They sit at 19-62 ahead of their season finale against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night.
But it's also true that they lost a key player in LeBron James ahead of the campaign and expectations were very low from the outset.
Thompson is 28 years old and in his prime; he's averaging 10.9 points per game, which is good for seventh best on the team.
This may sound terrible, but that figure is twice as much as what Thompson averaged a season ago and he's also averaging a career-best 10.2 rebounds per game.
Yes, he's missed many contests due to injury, but Tristan has been perfectly solid for a young team that lacks any real superstars.
Still, though, In Touch reports that the baller has become more known for his desire to score with random Instagram models than to score two points for his team, which has become a huge problem in Cleveland.
“He’s forever complaining about injuries and is always on his phone when he’s meant to be focusing. It’s impacting other players,” this magazine alleges.
“Everyone’s very aware of the Kardashian Kurse - look at what happened to Kris Humphries after Kim was through with him. Looks like the same thing could be happening to Tristan.”
Ah yes, the infamous Kardashian Kurse.
Here's the thing about that: we're pretty sure it doesn't exist.
Khloe famously dated James Harden a few summers ago and, since their split, the Houston Rockets star has won the Most Valuable Player Awards and is about to lead the entire league in scoring this season.
Heck, even Humphries played for eight more seasons after his divorce from Kardashian, providing veteran leadership and a sturdy inside presence five NBA clubs in that time.
So, in conclusion, Thompson may have legitimately been injured for a majority of this season and Cleveland may have benched him at times to give their younger players a chance while they almost purposely lose games to improve their draft position.
Nothing that Tristan has done away from the court may actually have played a role in his performance on the court, as crazy as that may sound to skeptics.
As for any chance that he gets back together with Kardashian?
There's a better chance that LeBron returns to play in Cleveland yet again.
"Khloe is really enjoying the single life, and spending time with her favorite person in the world: True!" a source told Entertainment Tonight recently, concluding:
"She still feels betrayed by Tristan but she isn't allowing that to affect her happiness any longer. Khloe loves with all of her heart and gave Tristan another chance but that relationship is over for good.
"Khloe is taking time to be single, enjoy her friends and family and focus on her business."
