Well, it might have been the most pointlessly protracted breakup in recent memory, but at least Khloe Kardashian has finally dumped Tristan Thompson.
Or at least that’s the conclusion fans have jumped to based on her recent social media activity.
As you probably already know, Khloe and Tristan are living in different states these days.
He’s in Ohio, experiencing intense LeBron withdrawals alongside the rest of the Cleveland Cavs.
Meanwhile, Khloe is back in California enjoying the company of her entire family, including baby True.
Sometimes, absence makes the heart grow fonder — but other times, you put a little distance between a couple and they realize they were faking it the whole time.
According to those who her best, Khloe is firmly in the latter camp.
In fact, after spending most of the past two months away from her baby daddy, insiders say Khloe has finally made up her mind to dump Tristan.
It would’ve been more satisfying if she had kicked him to the curb right after he was caught cheating while she was pregnant with his child, but sometimes, ghosting is a plate best served cold.
And hilariously, Khloe seems to be favoring that very tactic.
Insiders say she hasn’t contacted Tristan to formally break things off; they’ve just been communicating less and less, and she’s hoping he’ll eventually get the point.
In fact, according to In Touch Weekly, Khloe and Tristan have not interacted on social media since September 18.
Compare that to over the summer when they were commenting on one another’s pics every day, and you can see why fans are so intrigued.
One would think that Khloe and Tristan would be communicating more via Instagram and Twitter now that they’re separated 2,300 miles.
The fact that they’re not interacting at all has led many to the conclusion that it’s all over but the custody battle.
Sources say there was no precipitous event other than Tristan moving back to Cleveland, but Khloe was reportedly annoyed by his unwillingness to propose over the summer.
This breakup is for the best for so many reasons, not the least of which is that Tristan should probably be single for this NBA season.
