Michael Darby, the husband of Real Housewives of Potomac cast member Ashley Darby, has been accused of sexual misconduct.
According to TMZ, the Bravo reality TV star, allegedly grabbed and groped a cameraman on September 1 while filming an episode of the cable network series.
The cameraman is named Orville Palmer.
After the incident, he claims that he turned around and Darby gave him "a flirtatious look" and told the star to stop.
He then went and told his supervisor what happened.
People Magazine, meanwhile, has confirmed via court record that Darby has been charged with felony assault and misdemeanor improper sexual conduct.
This is a charge with maximum punishment of 11 years in prison.
Will he receive such a sentencing? It’s way too early to say for certain right now.
But this isn’t the first time Darby has allegedly engaged in such behavior.
On a Season 1 episode of this Real Housewives franchise, costar Gizelle Bryant raised her concerns to Darby’s wife after she said she saw Darby touch the backside of another man.
“I need to ask you ladies, I’m on the dance floor and your husband is squeezing Andrew’s butt,” Bryant said to Ashley at the time.
“Ya’ll, it’s a joke,” Ashley replied.
“Most men don’t like other men who are not gay squeezing their butts,” Bryant said in return.
“Maybe Robyn [Dixon] and Gizelle should be worried about the men in their lives, or lack their of, and leave Michael and me alone,” Ashley later said to the camera.
“So you’re not disturbed that Michael was groping another man’s butt?” Dixon asked.
“My man has sex with me, he loves me and he gives it to me good,” Ashley responded, making all viewers cringe and adding on air:
“So quite frankly, whatever he does in joking manners is not a reflection of my man’s sexuality. You’re reading into it so far.”
The question now, of course, is not whether Michael Darby is gay.
It’s whether he broke the law and will go to jail for it.
Ashley is 30 years old and Michael is 59 years old.
They have been featured on the Bravo program since Season 1 in 2016 and their relationship has been a prominent storyline on the show.
The pair nearly called it quits over an argument about Ashley helping out her mother financially in Season 2.
During the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 3 reunion, Ashley revealed she suffered a miscarriage.
And she recently revealed in BravoTV.com’s Housewife to Housewife series that the duo are still trying to have kids.
