Pink had two reasons to be very happy on Sunday night.

And one reason to be very angry.

First, however, the positive:

Despite being overcome in the days leading up to Super Bowl 52 with flu-like symptoms, Pink battled through the pain and took to the field prior to kick off yesterday between the Patriots and Eagles.

She proceeded to belt out a terrific Star-Spangled Banner, doing her family, friends and loved ones proud.

But don’t just take our word for it.

Pink Sings National Anthem: Grade It!

In an offensive showdown that went back and forth and came down to the final play, Philadelphia knocked off the defending champions by a score of 41-33.

Pink, being a lifelong Eagles fan, was thrilled by this result.

So, as mentioned above, she should have been popping champagne and celebrating on Sunday evening.

And maybe she did both of these things.

But only after she had to deal with a stupid and dumb troll on Twitter.

"If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times. Pink sucks and if you like her singing you’re dumb #SuperBowl," Tweeted some idiot with the handle @King_Sullivan after the national anthem performance.

Pink, however, was in no mood for such nonsense.

She easily could have ignored the loser, but she chose to put him in his place instead.

"Yeah but at least I suck while singing our countries national anthem, and you just suck by yourself on a dirty couch," she wrote back, becoming the second biggest winner on the night, after her beloved Eagles.

Pink tweet

Leading up to the big game, Pink really was in bad shape.

There was a fear on Friday and Saturday that she would be unable to perform.

"Trying to practice the flu away," she wrote on Instagram about her illness, adding late last week:

"I’ve been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song.

"And now, my chance has finally come. And it just so happens that this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish kids who literally cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek.

"You can’t write this stuff I swear! And here we are."

She later added:

"I’ve arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare.

"I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?!

"I promise I will do my best, as I always do. As far as the gremlins that got me into this mess, you can cough at me for the rest of your lives.

"If it’s a contest, babies, you win. #spreadthelove #spreadthegerms #pleasegivememyvoiceback #ificansingimgonnakillit."

And this is why Pink rules, of course.

She is a strong woman and great mother before she’s also an outstanding performer.

Thankfully, we’re not the only ones who think so.

Others came to Pink’s defense on Twitter, and some did so in very colorful fashion.

After the game, Pink posed with her daughter, Willow, on Instagram, and had the final say.

"All of your prayers and well wishes and candles got me through today," she wrote. "Thank you so much for all the love and support. We [love] you. #SuperBowl2018"
