We heard that Khloe Kardashian is trying to get pregnant by Tristan Thompson, and that's really not surprising given how close the two have become.
When Khloe's own best friend is dropping words like "husband and wife potential" out in public for the world to read ... it's probably a signal that Khloe's ready to take things to the next level.
And we learned a little something about Khloe's pregnancy plans, too. ...
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have been dating for very nearly a year now, folks.
Tristan is clearly Khloe's type, because he's a super tall basketball player.
It's funny how taste varies among siblings, right?
Khloe's sisters Kim and Kourtney are both shorter than she is (not that we'd consider Khloe all that tall at 5-foot-10).
Kim married Kanye and Kourtney had kids with Scott Disick, both of whom are short.
(Scott is 5-foot-11, folks, which we're not going to pretend is tall for an adult -- Scott is handsome and rich and can live with being short)
Khloe, on the other hand, thirsts after the tallest guys she finds, basically.
Tristan Thompson is 6-foot-9, which is mind-bogglingly tall ... and an inch shorter than Lamar Odom, Khloe's ex.
So, you know, Khloe has a type.
(There's more to Khloe's type than that, since she claims to have never seen a white penis, which sounds to us like racial fetishization ... but that's another matter)
Khloe and Tristan's relationship seems to be going strong, and even though it hasn't quite been a year, all signs are pointing to these two only getting closer as time goes on.
Anyway, Khloe's bestie is Malika Haqq spoke to E!, and Malika praises Khloe's relationship with Tristan.
"I'm very happy for Khloe and Tristan."
She's said that before, but this time it sounds more serious, you know?
"They're just about to be together a year, less than a month from now. They really truly are like the best of friends."
Well, they always say that you want to marry your best friend.
But it's sort of odd that Malika Haqq would use the "best friend" terminology, since she's Khloe's best friend.
Contrary to what Mindy Kaling says, "best friend" isn't a tier -- it's a position. And, like the Highlander, there can only be one.
(I'd rather chew glass than refer to someone else as my best friend's best friend, even if it were just blowing hot hair for an interview)
"They do click, they get along really well. It's an easy-going relationship because there is no force. They're like-minded individuals and it shows in their relationship."
Tristan always struck us as more laid back than Khloe, so that's surprising.
Tristan Thompson also understands that Rob Kardashian is a loser, where Khloe just wants to "fix" her brother.
But we guess that Malika Haqq would know.
"They're both very loving. Tristan is actually a Pisces just like me."
Oh, well that settles it.
"Everyone just gets a long really well. He's an incredibly likeable person and so is she. It makes sense. She's really, really happy and that's what matters the most to me."
That part comes across as pretty genuine.
"I don't put timelines on what I think people should be doing, but I believe that Khloe and Tristan do have the makings of a relationship that could stand the test of time."
"To me, I think most people would look at them and say, ‘They give you husband and wife potential.'"
Well, Khloe's seemed to finally catch baby fever recently.
(Possibly because she no longer had Rob Kardashian to boss around after he started hooking up with Blac Chyna -- remember those days?)
According to what a source told HollywoodLife, Khloe has specific pregnancy plans when it comes to Tristan Thompson.
"Khloe is determined to have a natural baby with Tristan and she wants to do it ASAP."
That means no surrogate, which is nuts, right?
Sure, most pregnancies happen without a surrogate or a fertility specialist.
But ... if you're rich, wouldn't you want to avoid the absolute agony of childbirth and all of the pain and transformations that your body will experience during the pregnancy itself?
Like, most people would pay someone to have a headache on their behalf, if they could. Or have the flu in their stead. Or whatever.
(Plenty of people would jump at the chance to suffer for a couple of days for a big payday, too)
But maybe Khloe has these very romantic ideas about childbirth or maybe she's worried that a surrogate might balk when it comes time to surrender the baby.
We feel like it's more likely that Khloe just has such exacting, controlling demands for whoever carries her child that she can't bring herself to trust someone else to do it.
For once, we understand.
