Rosie O’Donnell has a message for Saturday Night Live:

Give me a chance! I’m ready! Put me in, team! Let me show you what I can do!

The comedian/actress/talk show host has responded to a number of Internet users who say they’d love to see her appear on a future episode of Saturday Night Live…

… as white nationalist advisor Steve Bannon!

On the latest installment of Donald Trump’s least favorite show, Melissa McCarthy shocked viewers when she showed up as Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

The beloved star mocked Spicer as someone with a short fuse and a very loose grip on the facts.

It was as memorable a guest-starring appearance on SNL as any in recent memory, partly due to McCarthy’s hilarious impression – but largely due to the response of the White House.

According to Politico, Trump was pissed that Spicer was portrayed by a woman.

In the President’s sexist mind, this meant that Spicer was considered "weak" by his critics, the most damning charge one can possibly level against someone else in Trump’s view.

So… now that America has Alec Baldwin angering the Commander-in-Chief via his popular impression, along with McCarthy doing her best Spicer, Twitter has come up with the next most logical step for Saturday Night Live:

To truly drive Trump over the edge, O’Donnell must take on Bannon.

For those just catching up:

Steve Bannon is the former editor-in-chief of Breitbart News.

He is a close advisor to Trump and was recently placed on the National Security Council.

He’s basically a Nazi and has advocated in the past for creating complete chaos around the world in order to tear the country down and essentially start all over again, according to his own vision of how things should go.

Many think Bannon is the one pulling Trump’s strings, with a Twitter movement rising up in the past week or so that refers to Bannon as the actual "President" in order to really get The Donald’s goat.

So can you imagine how Trump would react if O’Donnell, his long-time celebrity antagonist, were to actually portray Bannon on the NBC sketch show?

Many social media users don’t want to imagine.

They want to find out for real!

And here are a couple other takes on the topic:

The former View co-host is apparently aware of these requests and answered one of them herself on Twitter yesterday.

“I am here to serve," Rosie wrote. "Alec has Trump. Melissa has Spice. I would need a few days to prepare. So, if called, I will be ready."

Now, look, on one hand, we obviously want to see this happen.

Forget Kim Kardashian nude photos. Rosie O’Donnell as Steve Bannon and Donald Trump’s subsequent response really would break the Internet.

He’d Tweet for days on end. He’d use SO many exclamation points. He’d be really very, very angry and upset.

On the other hand, Trump may start an actual world war if this happens.

So, yes, we want to see O’Donnell as Bannon. It would be terrific.

But would it be worth the loss of so many lives and the likely use of nuclear weapons?

Probably not.
