Taylor Swift is slowly but surely creeping back into the headlines.

The singer has remained almost entirely quiet ever since getting called out as a liar by Kim Kardashian over the summer.

It’s probably been her best move in order to give the public time to forget about her little Kimye-related scandal and move on to other news items… before she drops brand new music on the world this fall or winter.

That’s what we assume is about to happen at least.

But Swift posed for some photos that ended up on social media at a birthday party for Liberty Ross last weekend, and now we have a new update on her life.

It involves Calvin Harris.

No, the two are not back together. At least not in a romantic sense.

But they are back together in the "wow, Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift are back to having contact with each other, who would have guessed that?" sense.

Indeed, according to TMZ sources, Swift and Harris have moved on from their once-nasty breakup. They are at the very least sending text messages back and forth these days.

No, there’s no rekindling of any romantic flame.

The stars have not even spoken on the phone or seen each other in months.

But one of them did send a text to the other… the other responded… and they’ve exchanged a few messages ever since. That’s the extent of their current friendship.

The artist and the DJ dated for approximately 15 months and then broke up this spring.

There was even talk that Swift ended the relationship by phone.

But that wasn’t her worst mistake.

She proceeded to make out with Tom Hiddleston within weeks of the Harris breakup, going on to date The Avengers actor all summer long.

Even worse, though, perhaps, was Swift’s strong insinuation that she actually wrote Calvin’s giant hit track "This is What You Came For."

That implication sent Harris over the edge, prompting him to go off on Swift via Twitter.

In epic fashion.

"Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though," Harris wrote, adding:

"I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do."

And then there was the kicker:

"I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.

"Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one."

Amazing, right?

The Internet has since been celebrating the fact that Taylor Swift is over.

But if Calvin Harris is the one who’s over their little spat, perhaps we should follow suit.

Team Taylor, people. Forever.
