After announcing their split last December and filing for divorce in January, the couple's marital demise finally made it to air last night.
The first signs of it did, anyway. And it wasn't pretty.
As we said, the couple traveled with Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, and Kathryn Edwards to attend a gala held by the Global Lyme Alliance.
There, in New York, Yolanda was to be honored.
Yolanda Foster's Lyme Disease has been well documented, along with rumors that she's faking the disease or exaggerating it somehow.
Well, in the concluding moments of the night, David seemed unaware he was wearing a live mic and let us know how he really feels.
"I want your life to go back to the way it was when you first got together," his friend told David, who replied, "How's that going to happen?"
"It's gonna happen," the friend insisted.
David, unmoved, said, "I don't know."
It was a sad prelude to Yolanda's divorce from David Foster, and the fact that he discussed it in front of her friends was a telling sign.
Especially given what we now know.
You have to credit Bravo and its celebrities on that front: Yolanda and David be public figures, and their show is heavily edited for sure.
Yet there is a certain rawness to scenes like this that reveal the humanity of all parties involved, and make them seem endlessly relatable.
