Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, are expecting their first child together on their first wedding anniversary this November 1.
Their first of many, that is. Anniversaries, but also kids.
The couple decided to move forward with a controversial appearance at a Christian event Saturday, despite protests from prospective attendees.
Mr. & Mrs. Seewald took questions from the mostly adoring crowd at the Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte, N.C., talking about almost everything.
The only topic not discussed? Josh's cheating on Anna Duggar, which officially obliterated his family’s carefully crafted image and credibility.
It's no wonder that Jessa and Ben - who feared that no one cares about Jessa's pregnancy in the wake of Josh's scandals - would rather talk babies.
They have opted not to reveal whether they're having a boy or a girl, but have been open about their plans to adopt a child sometime next year.
The couple voiced this desire ever since they got married, but Arkansas requires a couple to be hitched for two years in order to be considered.
Jessa and Ben revealed that they want to have as many as 20 (yes, twenty) kids, many of them will be adopted; Michelle Duggar's record is safe.
For now, though, the duo is focused on their first-born ... or first two-born. Rumors that Jessa Duggar is pregnant with twins just will not go away.
As for the young couple's future on reality TV?
“I don’t know… if people want to watch us, I don’t mind, but I want to live a peacefully quiet life and just serve the Lord," Ben Seewald mused.
"If people find that interesting, then awesome, but I won’t seek that out myself,” he adds, and that's probably a good attitude at this stage.
Josh might have made it a moot point.
