A Colorado man has admitted vandalizing and setting fire to his estranged wife’s home in a drunken rage after another man "Liked" her Facebook posts.
William Lindauer, 31, told police he became incensed after he noticed her Facebook feed, and spray painted "my wife is a cheater" on her home.
Witnesses said they saw Lindauer fleeing on a bicycle after he set his home ablaze, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Denver Post.
Police arrested him after he sought medical attention "for an injured hand," officials say, and he claimed to have no memory of the incident.
Lindauer told investigators he’d been drinking heavily prior to going on Facebook, getting really pissed off and setting his spouse’s house ablaze.
Initially facing 13 criminal counts, he pleaded guilty to charges of arson, stalking and reckless endangerment for the violent March incident.
On Monday, he was sentenced to five years probation and four years in a county jail work release program … which is pretty lenient, considering.
Friends don’t let friends drink, go on Facebook and commit arson?
