Calvin Harris vs. Zayn Malik: EPIC Twitter Feud Alert!

by at .

Zayn Malik has shocked us quite a few times in recent months, what with his decisions to quit One Direction and end his engagement to Perrie Edwards, but today we saw a side of Zayn that we never knew existed!

It all started when Zayn tweeted side-by-side photos of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, each captioned by a quote encapsulating the artists' views on musicians' rights and streaming services.

Swift has been vocally critical of services like Spotify, arguing that they fail to properly compensate artists.

Miley (as always) has a much more laid back attitude. Her quote that Malik posted reads, "I've made my money. If no one buys my album. Cool. It's fine."

Calvin Harris (who is currently dating Swift) took issue with the comparison and made his views known to Zayn...who's apparently no fan of cordial debate.

The exchange went like this:

"You've made your money?" Harris tweeted at Malik. "Cool...F--k the 99% of musicians who depend on those services to survive right? Yeah f--k em...If u don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry...

"While u kids are refresh voting teen choice awards there's some poor fucker in a basement making your new favorite record trying to survive. Meaning...stay out of things you don't understand."

Zayn responded:

"Ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself clearly didn't understand what I just said so i suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out."

Harris tried to explain that he has nothing against Malik and that his only beef is with Miley's quote, but Insane Zayn wasn't having it:

"Oh and I write my own shit too dickhead," Malik replied, essentially going nuclear our of nowhere.

Ever the Scottish gentleman (or the dude who has his girlfriend talking him down because she has enough active feuds going on as it is), Harris replied, "Best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice."

Something tells us this is far from over.
