Good to see that Teresa Giudice is still major causing drama in the Garden State from the unfriendly, federal prison confines of Danbury, Conn.
After they learned Teresa signed a contract to return to Bravo, the rest of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members were up in arms.
Not because she’s coming back, but because she’s getting $1 million!
The first ladies of New Jersey reality TV are “disgusted that Teresa is getting such a huge paycheck, especially since she is a convicted felon!”
“It sends a very bad message to their fans that crime does indeed pay.”
Well, sure. But that’s a slippery slope given the unsavory characters on Bravo – and any reality-centric network really – in general, no?
Also, as a source pointed out, “Teresa’s sister-in-law, Melissa, is demanding a significant raise, and wants to be paid $1 million too.”
So it’s not as much about conviction (pun intended) but jealousy.
“Dina Manzo’s also seeking a bump in pay,” the source went on, adding, “Jacqueline Laurita wanted to be paid as much as Teresa too.”
Producers want Carolyn Manzo to come back … however:
“She is going to be holding out for a big offer, and isn’t ready to sign back up for all the crazy drama that comes with being on the show.”
As fo twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, an insider said they’ve yet to be offered a contract … and it seems unlikely they will be.
Meanwhile, Giudice desperately needs the money. The feds will seize Giudice’s salary, in part, to pay off the restitution she still owes.
Giudice is currently serving a 15-month prison sentence, and is expected to be released in February or perhaps by the holidays.
She will then appear on her husband Joe’s reality show.
