It’s been over a week since the world learned that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting divorced, and new rumors regarding how and why the couple split continue to surface daily.
Yesterday’s theory held that Affleck begged for forgiveness after being caught cheating on Garner, but now, a new report claims that Jen is the one tried desperately to save the 10-year marriage.
According to Radar Online, Jen is still trying to win Ben back, but Affleck has made it clear that he has no interest in attempting to rekindle the romance.
“Jen’s so obsessed with getting a second chance,” says one source. “She’s trying to salvage the marriage.”
The insider claims that Jen is still wearing her wedding ring in hopes that Ben will see it in a paparazzi photo and realize that she’s still committed to him.
The source adds that in her more desperate moments, Garner has resorted to "calling [Ben] constantly."
Unfortunately for Garner, it appears to be a case of too little, too late.
"Ben’s done," the source says. "She was the one who crushed her husband with rules and restrictions until it became too much."
“Now she’s bringing things up and topics she thinks Ben will support her on, but he’s not trying not to engage in things that could give her indications that they can save the marriage. Jen thinks it’s an option to win Ben back, but it’s not going to happen.”
Ouch. To make matters worse, there are now rumors that Ben is hooking up with Margot Robbie, and we’re guessing the man’s not terribly eager to give that up.
