Rob Kardashian: Why Did He Skip Caitlyn Jenner's Father's Day Celebration?

by at .

Earlier today, Caitlyn Jenner's Father's Day photo nearly broke the Internet faster than his stepdaughter's well-lubricated butt.

At press time, the pic had been retweeted nearly 12,000 times, and it's not hard to see why it caught on so fast.

Caitlyn Jenner Father's Day Photo

This was Cait's first Father's Day as a woman, and the photo served as a heartwarming reminder of how much support she's received from her kids, stepkids, and even her grandkids.

Of course, Caitlyn's ever-expanding brood is officially massive these days, so it stands to reason that the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan wasn't able to make it to the Father's Day off-roading extravaganza.

Most of the absentee offspring had good excuses: Kourtney had the flu; Brody was out of town for a DJ-ing gig; Kylie probably had selfies to take, or something.

One adult kid who was MIA without any good reason, though, was Rob.

As you've probably heard, outside of the occasional late night burger run, Rob's been keeping a very low profile lately, so it's not surprising that he chose not to be in the pic.

But it's not just that he opted out of posing with his stepdad, Rob reportedly skipped the Father's Day festivities altogether.

“Rob decided not to go to Caitlyn’s house because he just didn’t feel like being around a lot of people,” a source tells Radar Online. “He communicated with Caitlyn during the day, and wished her a Happy Father’s Day.“

Despite bogus rumors that Rob is planning to upstage Caitlyn at the ESPY Awards, the step- father and son are reportedly getting along better than ever these days.

Insiders say the problem is that Rob's fear of social situations has gotten so extreme that he doesn't want to be around any group of more than two or three people, even if it's made up entirely of people he's known his entire life.

That's a rough thing to bounce back from, and we're hoping Rob gets the help he needs. Fortunately, when it comes to courage, he's got a hell of a role model.
