Mama June, the matriarch of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, has been threatening TLC with a lawsuit if they don’t cancel 19 Kids and Counting.
She argues that TLC canceled her show when she was discovered to be dating a convicted child molester (one who molested her own kid).
Therefore, she feels, the Duggars’ show should be axed after Josh Duggar admitted molesting underage girls, including sisters Jessa and Jill.
But before she can get down to the business of suing TLC, she first needs to deal with the current suit filed against her … by her daughter.
Anna Cardwell (a.k.a. Chickadee), the mother of a two-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, allege that Mama June owes them a lot of money.
Out of the serious money earned for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, reportedly, Anna grossed $200,000 and Kaitlyn made $100,000.
In May, Anna politely asked for the money Mama June owes her. But Anna claims they didn’t get theirs and June simply pocketed it.
The mother/daughter plaintiffs also argue that Mama June didn’t pay up on the royalties for their cookbook and other promotional products.
So now, it is off to court for the reality TV family, with TLC caught in the middle; Anna says the network should have protected their share.
The network claims they helped set up accounts for each individual to avoid this very problem, and basically Anna can go kick rocks.
Anna and Mama June have had a strained relationship since June opened up about her child molester boyfriend, Mark McDaniel.
Understandably, Anna won’t let Mama June visit her grandkids until she dumps her criminal boyfriend, who she claims she’s not dating.
We’re as confused as you are.
