As we reported last month, Floyd Mayweather is being sued by his baby mama following some defamatory statements the boxer allegedly made during the build-up to his May 2 fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Shantel Jackson says Mayweather beat her, choked her and threatened her with a gun, and testimony from those who witnessed the boxer’s behavior (including his own son) corroborates her story.
In a recent interview with Katie Couric, Mayweather claimed that Jackson made the whole thing up, and now he’ll have to put his money where his mouth is in court.
In May of 2014, Mayweather publicly posted Jackson’s medical records after claiming that she got an abortion against his wishes. (What a guy!) Now, Jackson is returning the favor and humiliating the champ by revealing a series of bizarre text messages in court.
TMZ has obtained docs that show Mayweather’s tender side (using the promise of an acting career to bribe Jackson into getting married), as well as further insights into the angry psychopath we know so well:
“This is what I offer to you,” Floyd texted sometime last year. “Let’s get married move in together you can back and forth to LA stay at the condo.
“I promise I will get you in 3 A list movies this year and I’m willing to go to counseling to make us work and you can get the stuff you want and I’m willing to change but I need you to have a better attitude.”
Not surprisingly, Jackson rejected the world’s snottiest marriage proposal.
Texts revealed in the court docs date back to 2013 and include such threats as “I had your phone traced” and “I have nasty videos too that I can put on Instagram and Twitter.”
Jackson began dating Nelly in April of last year, and she says Mayweather planned to post naked photos of her on social media as part of his weird effort to put a stop to the relationship.
It didn’t work. Jackson and Nelly are still together, and Jackson is now seeking a cool $20 million from Mayweather in court.
