Fox Unveils Fall Schedule, Announces End of American Idol

Fox announced the first part of its 2015-2016 schedule this morning, making major news on a handful of programming notes:

  • New Girl will not premiere until midseason, at which time it will run "its first-ever season of virtually uninterrupted originals."
  • The X-Files reboot will also not air until early 2016.
  • Ryan Murphy's Scream Queens will headline a brand new night of Tuesday programs.
  • American Idol will come to an end following Season 15.
