The Voice results are in, and America has spoken … and abruptly dashed the dreams of more hopefuls here in Season 8 of the NBC reality TV competition.
The Voice Top 8 singers who gave it their all Monday night were vying for just six spots on next week’s show, so the margin of error was slim to none.
Let’s find out who’s moving on and who’s packing up the moving van …
After Carson Daly introduced the coaches and Jason DeRulo performs, we get right down to it as we learn the first vocalist to advance to the Top 6:
- Joshua Davis of Team Adam!
After singer Rozzi Crane performs, and Lee Brice performs his new single, two more pairs of singers are declared safe and moving on to next week:
- Sawyer Fredericks of Team Pharrell!
- Meghan Linsey of Team Blake!
- Kimberly Nichole of Team Christina!
- Koryn Hawthorne of Team Pharrell!
With five of the six spots taken, we know every coach is still represented in Season 8, which is a cool thing. That leaves the dreaded bottom three:
- Corey Kent White of Team Blake
- Hannah Kirby of Team Blake
- India Carney of Team Christina
Singing for her life, Hannah performs "Radioactive," Corey tries Keith Urban’s "Somebody Like You," while India Carney shows her "Human" side.
All of them were shaky, and the Instant #VoiceSave could’ve gone any of three directions. But after all the last second tweets were tallied up …
- India Carney is moving on!
Corey and Hannah are eliminated in a double stomach punch for Team Blake, but after all his past successes, he can take this one for the team.
Who do you think will be named The Voice of these top six remaining singers? How would you rank them? Did the right two go home last night?
- Kimberly Nichole
- Sawyer Fredericks
- Meghan Linsey
- Joshua Davis
- India Carney
- Koryn Hawthorne
