Oscar winning actress Patricia Arquette has revealed that she is writing a memoir, the 45-year-old Boyhood star announced this week.

"Over the years, the public has come to know aspects of me through my roles in film and television," says Arquette in a statement released by her publisher.

"Writing a memoir will be a new and intimate artistic journey for me, and I hope to bring to it the same honesty I have always sought to bring to my work as an actor."

The actress has enjoyed her career climbing to dizzying new heights since appearing in Boyhood, which recently earned her the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Patricia Arquette’s Oscar speech attracted a lot of criticism earlier this year, but none of it fazed her, as she lashed out at critics shortly after controversy swirled.

"To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights," said Arquette at the time.

"It’s high time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America."

With a speech as controversial as that, consider us intrigued about what the star will reveal in this tell all book.

The rest of the details about the memoir are scarce, with no release date being announced.

Arquette can currently be seen in CSI: Cyber.
