If there was ever an actress who had plenty of reason to part ways with the television show that made her famous, it's The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev.
Is she really heading for the door, though? That's the rumor going around.
UPDATE: Yes, Nina Dobrev is leaving! Follow the link for her statement.
The Vampire Diaries is as popular as ever, but Nina's ex and co-star, Ian Somerhalder, is engaged to Nikki Reed now, and sources say it's beyond awkward.
The former flames are so desperate to avoid interacting with one another that the show's writers have been placing them in as few scenes together as possible.
The Dobrev and Somerhalder awkwardness apparently reached a fever pitch late last year, and it seems it was during that time that Nina made the decision not to return.
Over the weekend, several cast and crew members posted tweets and Instagram photos with a telling hashtag reading, "#WeWillMissYouNina."
It seems the social media posts were from a surprise going-away party that was held for Nina on set, and (intentionally or not) they let the cat out of the bag.
The show shoots in Atlanta, and Nina just purchased a new home in LA. Unlike the rest of the cast, she has yet to sign on for a seventh season.
So it looks as though Ms. Dobrev may be ready to bid adieu to TVD, and to the uncomfortable situation of pretending to be in love with her ex every day.
Stay tuned, and in the meantime, you can watch The Vampire Diaries online at TV Fanatic to relive some of Nina's most memorable moments.
