The Real Housewives franchise has seen a lot of sisterly drama this week.
First, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion showed sisters Kim and Kyle Richards fighting in designer dresses on uncomfortable couches.
Now, the family feud is back for The Real Housewives of New Jersey sister-in-laws, Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.
It is hard for the other ladies of NJ to get any attention when Teresa Giudice is in the room. She makes sure her presence is known by flipping tables, squealing, screaming, and having spray-tanned orange skin.
But now that Giudice, 42, is behind bars in federal prison, Melissa Gorga wants to take over Giudice’s role on the hit reality series.
A source tells Radar Online that “Melissa realizes that she has a huge opportunity now with Teresa gone.”
The source adds, “She is going to be the star now since Teresa is behind bars and she’s loving her new role.”
Distinguishing fact from fiction with these ladies can be difficult. But this might actually be true.
Radar previously reported that Gorga is getting a serious pay raise for her role on RHONJ.
It is possible that this pay raise comes with more screen time for Gorga.
Really, who else could be as equally annoying as Teresa? Good call, Bravo.
The source claims, Melissa is “ready to be the center of attention and have the show revolve around her.”
This could be tricky though. Teresa is in prison but very much in the spotlight.
And with the potential of a Joe Giudice reality show, that's not likely to change anytime soon. It may only intensify.
It could be worse, right? At least it isn’t Amber Marchese trying to take over ... yet.
